What is included in the free Starter tier?

The Starter tier gives you a 2-hour trial session with up to 100 tags, 1 client connection, 5 screens, and 2 users. It includes the real-time dashboard, basic alarm management, event logger, and synoptic display viewer with all 50+ industrial components.

What kind of license do I get?

Accepted Answer

OptiZeus is sold as a perpetual license. You pay once and the software is yours to use indefinitely on the licensed machine — there is no recurring subscription and the software does not stop working if you cancel anything. Licenses are hardware-locked: after purchase you provide your machine's Hardware ID (displayed in the application) and we generate a .lic file specific to that machine.

What is the maintenance program and is it required?

The maintenance program is optional. It costs 10% of the list price per year (for example, $187/year on a $1,874 Professional license) and it gives you free version updates (major + minor) and technical support for as long as you're enrolled. Lapse it and your current version keeps working — you just stop receiving new updates and support access. You can resume maintenance later at any time.

Can I upgrade my tier later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can upgrade at any time. Contact our sales team and we'll generate a new license file for your upgraded tier. You pay the difference between what you already paid and the higher tier's list price — no penalty for upgrading later.

What protocols and PLCs are supported?

We support OPC UA, Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet/IP (Allen-Bradley), S7 (Siemens), MQTT, BACnet, serial RS-232/485, and more. This covers most major PLC brands including Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, ABB, and Mitsubishi.

All paid tiers include 30 days of installation support with the perpetual license. Ongoing support + free updates are covered by the optional maintenance program. Without maintenance, paid support is available on a per-incident basis.
